Champions (2023) follows a former minor-league basketball coach, Woody Harrelson, that receives a court order to manage a team of players with intellectual disabilities. Despite his doubts, he soon realizes that together they can go further than they ever imagined. Available to watch on Peacock!

Even though it is a 2 hour long movie, I think it is definitely worth the watch! I think it is incredibly informative about the incorrect stereotypes that are in the world about individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Overall, it was a very heartwarming movie, chalked full of humor, joy, and moral lessons. It is a feel-good movie with a plethora of charm that makes it entertaining to watch. Seeing the interaction between Woody Harrelson and the kids was so fun to see, and absolutely hilarious. I loved the evolution of Harrelson’s character and the underdog sports team story line that they use as they put their own spin on it. I think there are so many stigmas regarding disabilities, I think it is important for those who may not be as familiar, to immerse themselves in medias like this. The movie was also full of sass, wit, and Harrelson’s usual lively arrogant manner which is endearing to see. If you enjoy a lighthearted sports movie with an immense amount of comedy and heart, I would say to give this movie a watch!
