Welcome back Triple C readers! Today we are going to be discussing the one and only Adam Sandler. He not only blows us away with his fashion serves, but with his hilarious and heartwarming movies. Not to mention his wife and kids are in almost every movie that he has been in, so it is super fun to try and spot them! Today we will find out the best Adam Sandler movies! (in my opinion) Enjoy! 🙂

#10. Grown Ups 2 (2013) directed by Dennis Dugan

A comedy movie that follows Adam Sandler, Salma Hayek, and their kids as they move back from LA and must defend their home town. I enjoyed the sequel more than the original because I feel it has more people involved like the kids, old friends, and the additional bullies. It features stars like Shaquille O’Neal (former pro basketball player), Alexander Ludwig (star of Hunger Games), Stone Cold Steve Austin (retired wrestler), Milo Ventimiglia (star of Gilmore Girls), China Anne McClain (star of Ant Farm), Taylor Lautner (star of Twilight), Andy Samberg (star of Brooklyn Nine Nine), and Taran Killam (star of Night School).

#9. Hotel Translyvania 3 (2018) directed by Genndy Tartakovsky

The third installation to the “Hotel Translyvania” franchise. I think this movie is very cute and I love watching it, but I felt like it was missing something of the original franchise. I thought the addition of Erica played by Kathryn Hahn (star of Bad Moms) along with a new location did add something new to the movie though. Starring Selena Gomez (star of Wizards of Waverly Place), Andy Samberg (star of Brooklyn Nine Nine), Kevin James (star of Grown Ups), Steve Buscemi (star of Hubie Halloween), David Spade (star of Grown Ups), Keegan Micheal-Key (star of Key & Peele), Joe Jonas (star of Camp Rock), and Mel Brooks.

#8. Hubie Halloween (2020) directed by Steven Brill

A comedy mystery movie that has quickly become one of my traditional movies to watch during October. The movie follows Hubie and his journey to rescue Salem from a kidnapper on the loose. I think the stars really make it enjoyable to watch like Noah Schnapp(star of Stranger Things), Paris Berelc (star of Invisible Sister), Julie Bowen (star of Modern Family), and Ray Liotta (star of Goodfellas), along with his usual bunch of male friends plus a plethora of Disney stars as he dedicated the movie to Cameron Boyce. It keeps you guessing who the kidnapper is which made for a real curious adventure. Available to watch on Netflix!

#7. Hotel Transylvania (2012) directed by Genndy Tartakovsky

A family animated movie and the first installment in the “Hotel Translyvania” franchise. It follows Johnny, a human, as he comes across Drac’s hotel for monsters and falls for his daughter. The movie is a charming and goofy story that is for all ages. The animation is light hearted and fun, with an amazing cast. It stars Andy Samberg (star of Brooklyn Nine Nine), Selena Gomez (star of Wizards of Waverly Place), Kevin James (star of Grown Ups), David Spade (star of Growns Ups), Steve Buscemi (star of Hubie Halloween), and Fran Drescher (star of The Nanny).

#6. Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015) directed by Genndy Tartakovsky

The second installment in the “Hotel Transylvania” franchise. This time around it focuses on Dennis, Mavis and Johnny’s son, and the debacle of if he needs to be in the human world or pushed to embrace his vampire side. It is considered a kids film, but I honestly think it is a very cute watch with the amusing and sweet humor and a heartfelt storyline. It stars Andy Samberg (star of Brooklyn Nine Nine), Mel Brooks, David Spade (star of Grown Ups), Selena Gomez (star of Wizards of Wavery Place), Steve Buscemi (star of Hubie Halloween), Kevin James (star of Grown Ups), and Keegan-Michael Key (star of Key & Peele).

#5. Just Go With It (2011) directed by Dennis Dugan

A comedy romance following Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston pretending to be a divorced couple to keep up with a lie that he told to the girl of his dreams. It is such a feel-good, playful movie especially with Sandler and Aniston’s on screen chemistry. It is silly, fun, and I feel a breath of fresh air from Adam Sandler’s usual comedy like Billy Madison. It stars Nicole Kidman (star of Nine Perfect Strangers), Bailee Madison (star of Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark), Brooklyn Decker, Griffin Gluck (star of Why Him?), Nick Swardson (star of Grown Ups), and Kevin Nealon (American comedian). Available to watch on Hulu!

#4. Blended (2014) directed by Frank Coraci

Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler go on a bad blind date with each other. Fate brings them back together when they both purchase half of the same package to a South African resort. Their on screen chemistry brings a positive ambiance to the screen. Their enemies to lovers trope is really tender and romantic whilst it being predictable (as most rom-coms are). It also stars Bella Thorne (disney channel star), Kevin Nealon (American comedian), Terry Crews (star of White Chicks), Wendi McLendonCovey (star of Think Like A Man 2), Joel McHale(star of Community), and Shaquille O’Neal (former basketball player). Available to watch on Hulu!

#3. Murder Mystery (2019) directed by Kyle Newacheck

A comedy mystery movie following Sandler and Aniston as they go on a trip to Europe, where they encounter a murder of an elderly billionare. I thought it would be super predictable, but it was utterly the opposite and kept me guessing. It resembles a sense of a less intricate Knives Out movie, but keeps the storytelling and adds the Sandler famous humor. It stars Luke Evans (star of Fast & Furious 6), Gemma Arterton (star of The King’s Man), Luis Gerardo Mendez (star of Me Time), Shioli Kutsuna (star of Deadpool 2), Adell Akhtar, Dany Boon, John Kani, and David Walliams (judge on Britain’s Got Talent). Available to watch on Netflix!

#2. Hustle (2022) directed by Jeremiah Zagar

A comedy drama starring Adam Sandler as a basketball scout and discovering an amazing player in Spain. The movie itself is such an inspiring tale especially seeing the representation of the Latino/Spaniard community. The dynamic between Sandler and Juancho Hernandogomez makes the film more lighthearted and so fun to watch. Plus, I love all of the star appearances from the basketball world, and it is enjoyable for all even if they aren’t familiar with the basketball world like me. Available to watch on Netflix !

#1. Pixels (2015) directed by Chris Columbus

A comedy action movie following former video-game champions as they have to save the world after aliens start sending video games to attack Earth. I love the concept of this movie and the fact that they include the iconic older games like Pacman, Galaga, Centipede, Space Invaders, Tetris, and Donkey Kong. I think it was so creative and retro. It is chalked full of cool special effects and engaging humor. It stars Peter Dinklage (star of The Boss), Kevin James (star of Grown Ups), Michelle Monaghan (star of The Best of Me), Josh Gad (star of Frozen), and Ashley Benson (star of Pretty Little Liars).

Adam Sandler is one prolific guy! Our favorite of his movies is far and away “The Wedding Singer”, which makes sense since it’s set in the 80s and is full of 80s music and 80s clothes and 80s cars, and my wife and I are both children of the 80s … 😁

Agreed! I enjoy “The Wedding Singer” as well! I love Sandler and Drew Barrymore together and not to mention the soundtrack. The end scene when they are on the plane is so sweet. Plus, Frank Coraci, the director of “The Wedding Singer” also directed “Blended” with Sandler and Barrymore as well! Definitely a killer duo!
